Happy Birthday Lexington!

If you didn't know, today is the 241st birthday of Lexington, Ky. (Even though Wikipedia says the city was established in 1782, it was actually founded in 1775!) We here at The Bluegrass Outsider just wanted to take a moment to wish the city a happy birthday. Lexington, we love your trees, hills, streams, cliffs, waterfalls, and most of all...your people. We're proud to represent The Bluegrass and hope, dear friends, that you'll get outside, even though it's wet, and do something fun today. I took the family to McConnell Springs (which I'll write more about in my next post) and we traipsed through the wet forest, got a little wet from the rain, and had fun with a group of folks who were doing some frontier-day reenactments. I shot some great pictures and recorded some great audio clips that I'll share soon. In the meantime, as I said, get outside and do something as you celebrate our great city's birthday today. Have fun!
